Depends on the treatment. Aesthetic fillings 1 day, whitening 1-2 days, crowns and veneers or a full smile makeover 5-7 days. Implants work differently: the surgical visit takes 3-5 days, the implant then heals for 2-4 months (up to 6 in the upper jaw), and a second visit of 4-7 days follows for the crown. Plan two trips for implants, not one.

The treatment itself is virtually painless: the area is fully numbed with modern local anaesthetic, and sedation is available for anxious patients. Mild soreness or swelling for a few days afterwards is normal, particularly after implant surgery, and is controlled with standard painkillers.
